Hello Everyone!

Today I’m going to be sharing with you my birthday wish list. I want to start of by saying I don’t expect to receive all of this, it’s just to show you my personality and the things I like. As you can tell, I have a lot of David And Goliath things on this list. I stumbled across their stuff from one of my favourite youtuber’s Ingrid. I think their items are really quirky and are the type of things I like. I also have a pair of roller skates on there, as I want to start roller skating. There is also a pair of Topshop Disco Treggings, as I’ve always been intrigued to try a pair of Disco Pants, and I could also do a blog post on how to style them. There is also a ‘Wreck This Journal’, which I’ve wanted for a while now but never brought.

Staying Entertained On Long Flight: Children and Pre-Teens

Hello Everyone!

Today I’m going to be doing a post about staying entertained on long flights, because, sometimes, in-flight entertainment just isn’t enough. 😉

So here are my top 5 things to bring and do on the plane when on a long flight.

1. First up, is reading a book. This won’t only let you have a good read but will also pass time. Make sure to pack a couple of new books, or you could treat yourself to some new ones at the airport. Younger children are best with some of the old classics that they already have in their bookshelf, but older children, teens and adults prefer buying new books.

2. Notebooks and Pens

DSC_0833

Always take pens and paper on-board, it’s the perfect time to doodle! When I go on holiday I like to keep a travel journal/notebook, so, whilst on board, I decorate a plain notebook to turn into my ‘Travel Notebook’. I feel like decorating your own notebook gives it personality and makes it ‘your own’. When your on the aeroplane, the last thing you want is mess. So when using pen, I always use washable felt-tips, no matter what age. I also use Crayola Twistables, because rather than sharpening, you twist the coloured led up. Something similar to that are mechanical pencils, which are the same concept, because no one wants to sharpen pencils on the plane.

3. Music

I always listen to music on the plane. Often if you have in flight entertainment music is included, but they may not have your favourite song, so always bring your iPod. Before you head of to your destination, download all the latest songs and any classics that you don’t already have. Oh, and DO NOT make the mistake of forgetting your headphones. That’s a mistake you won’t be forgiven for.

4. Electronics and Gadgets

If you have an iPhone/iPod, bring that, because everything you need is there on it. Also, any type of iPad or tablet is a great thing to bring, for adults and the kids. Download the kids some apps and the adults some music or language apps if you flying to a county with a different language.

5. Portable Board Game

Even though your on the plane, doesn’t mean you can’t play board games! Portable board games are perfect and are great priced at well. There small so are perfect for travelling.

But all together, staying organised is the most important thing. Doing things like packing away an hour before landing helps a lot. Also, organising your things in importance order helps, for example putting the most important items on the top and least important on the bottom.

Anyway, I’ll be doing a lot more blog posts in this summer holiday so watch this space. I also recently did a blog post on my mum’s blog http://theanamumdiary.co.uk/2013/07/24/teen-beach-movie-soundtrack-a-review/

5 Pointless Things To Spend Your Money On!

1. Egg Cuber. This device is used to make your eggs into the shape of a cube, rather than the normal egg shape. What’s the point in this?

2. USB Pet Rock. I remember getting really sad because I wasn’t aloud a pet, so I drew a face on a rock and called it Bob. Now they actually have a rock which is a pet. Thanks world, just what I need?

3. Bacon Floss. Okay, so we all need to floss, but bacon flavour floss? If you suffer from bad breath, I wouldn’t say this is for you!

4. Lighted Slippers.  This one, not so pointless, if you need to go to the fridge at 2 AM. But ever thought of a torch?

5. Condiment gun. Enjoy playing with nerf guns? Got to go to lunch? This (pointless) machine shoots out your mustard, ketchup and sauces. Helpful?

The Internet.

The internet is like gravity, it pulls you back as soon as you try and go away. The internet has changed life now-days. If we didn’t have computers, iPads, iPhones ect…, we wouldn’t be who we are today. The internet has helped us in so many different ways, from finding out the gossip to the weather, it’s easier when we have an iPad at hand.

As well as helping us, the biggest benefit of the internet is the experiences we can make on it.  I’m not talking about the internet like Disneyland, I mean it in a way that the friends we make, the old friends we can socialise again with and the people who make us laugh.

I remember when I had a friend who I was really close with. I saw her at an after school club and we were really close. I had to leave this after school club and I was quite upset that we wouldn’t see each other as much. To this day, email has kept us together and I’m really thankful for it.

I think something that I use the most is Google. Good old Google. Search anything and everything and you’ll have an answer.

I know you’ve probably heard a gazillion times that you should not be on your computer, but I guess it’s not the healthiest of ‘sports’!

TRESemme 24 hour Salon Finish Extra Hold Hairspray Review.

Hello Everyone,

Today’s post is going to be a review on the TRESemme 24 hour Salon Finish Extra Hold Hairspray. I pretty much rely on hairspray throughout the day at school as we have to wear our hair in a ponytail, bun, plait ect…

When I chose a hairspray I have to be careful with what I choose. I have tried ones in the past but none of them have worked for me, until I tried this…

The first thing I look for in a hairspray is how long it lasts. The bottle advertises that it lasts for 24 hours, although this hairspray is amazing, I do not believe it lasts that long. I use it for about approximately 6 and a half hours, then I take my hair down. I believe it may stay longer than this but I don’t need it longer than that. Perfect for day or night out.

This hairspray also has Climate Control, meaning the hairspray to stay in all weather types, and also Humidity Resistance, meaning for it to stay in heat. I do think the hairspray lasts during snow, rain and wind since I have used it during those weather types. I blame the typical Engish weather for this, but I do not know how it lasts in heat.

The next thing I was amazed at with this hairspray was how fast it dried. I’m usually in a rush in the mornings and the last thing I want to do is wait for my hairspray to dry, so with the fast drying formula, this is perfect for those rushing days.

Next, I want to talk about how the hairspray’s finish is. I hate when a hairspray is crispy (only word which describes it, no matter how disguising)  and almost flakes on your head. This hairspray is the exact opposite to that, it feels smooth on your head and isn’t shiny or greasy looking.

The last(and definitely least important) thing I want to talk about is the smell. Most hairspray’s either smell absolutely dreadful or quite odd. This one has that typical hairspray scent with a hint of fruit stirred in, odd, but satisfying.

Overall this is a great product if your going to be out all day and can’t go back and touch-up your hair. Although, if you do like a good touch-up, TRESemme do smaller versions, which you can pop in your handbag.
